In-Depth Review
The HP Stream 14 is the simplest, lightest, cheapest Windows option on our list, and it bundles a docking station with 1TB of storage plus a year of Office 365. For very light use — basic documents, web browsing, email, streaming — it does the job at a low price.
But honesty matters here: with only 4GB of RAM it will feel slow if you multitask heavily, and one reviewer flagged exactly that sluggishness. The screen is also 720p. Buy this if you want the lightest, most affordable Windows machine for genuinely light tasks; if you multitask or keep many tabs open, spend a little more on the Acer Aspire Go or HP 14 (16GB) instead.
Why we picked this
"The pick for the lightest, simplest, cheapest Windows option — best for very light users (basic documents, browsing, streaming) who value portability and a cloud bundle over speed."
